So, for those of you who may be curious, here is my writing "process" for NaNoWriMo
STEP ONE: Procrastinate and put off writing for at least three hours. Possibly more. Sometimes this time is filled with something else that is creative and/or productive, and sometimes it is most definitely NOT STEP TWO: Decide that it's really REALLY time to write, give myself some sort of problem to solve, by pulling up a random writing /plot twist/character generator at the Seventh Sanctum site, or pulling something out of one of the writing prompt bags that is attached to our local mascot, Ploticus Octavious. STEP THREE: Hop over to twitter to follow along with the NaNoWriMo "word sprints" STEP FOUR: Proceed to bang out 1654 words in 30 minutes. STEP FIVE: Wonder why you keep doing that whole procrastination thing instead of just getting your word count in for the day as soon as you have a little spare time to write. Comments are closed.
