It's been a rough, rough year for just about everybody, and right now I am being pulled to rest and hibernate for a bit. I may post sporadically here and there, but for now am planning on taking a break until January.
I hope you enjoy safe holidays with your family and loved ones, even if that has to be in virtual space. Here is hoping that 2021 is a much gentler year for us all. Give yourself the gift of rest, take care of yourself in whatever way you can, and if you have a little extra light in your heart to spare, spread and share to make the world a kinder place. This is a local trail we don't go on that much, partially because it tends to have a lot of people utilizing it and also it is...a lot of sagebrush steppe to hike through before you get to the pine forest, and in the summer, that is - hot. It was obviously not hot on this day, but it was a very very muddy walk.
All the snow in town has pretty much melted immediately so far this year, it's pretty nice to get to experience some winter wonderland in the mountains.
