Got up ridiculously early on October 8 to watch the "blood moon" eclipse. Managed to get a picture of the moon that actually looks like the moon! This was during the totality of the eclipse. Cool.
Conversation with the checker at the grocery store: CHECKER: Oh, what are you canning? (As she scans the two boxes of Mason Jars) ME: Uh...I don't actually can, I use them to hold craft supplies CHECKER: Oh. (A few items later) CHECKER: What are these again? ME: Collard Greens CHECKER: Oh, I've always wanted to try those, how do you make them? ME: Um...Actually I don't know, we get them to feed to the iguana*. *I apologize to all of you who actually know how to properly prepare them and like them. This was nearly as awkward as when the checker at the craft store asks me what I'm making. (Until I MAKE it, I won't KNOW!) 
This photo just makes it look like I am good at domestic type stuff. BUT IT IS FULL OF LIES.
