A bare tree reaching its branches over the Portneuf. I'm not sure why the image always speaks to me, but I've got a lot of pictures like this stored away on my hard drive. (Some of them are probably even of this exact same tree.)
I'm not sure why my older kid felt it necessary to stick a pencil to the ceiling with blue tak...but I looked up from my desk and there it was.
Silly me, I thought it was April RAIN showers that were supposed to bring the May flowers, not SNOW.
It's been a rough week in the US of A, so here's a little something pretty. And yes, I have apparently become the sort of strange person that picks up discarded bits of wasps nests because they just look cool.
Or "Rock Chuck," as they are colloquially known around here! They have come out of hibernation. (Although some of them may be regretting that, as we have had at least three mornings with snow on the ground in the month of April.) They are pretty dang cute! This one was somewhat braver than most, and I managed to snap a couple pictures.
