A quick little trip to the nearby reservoir.

A few hours spent at Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City are always nice! We are fans of the small animal building, because we love critters like snakes and spiders! We got to watch a couple of zookeepers working with the elephants. Doing basic training is not to amuse human zoo-goers, it helps zookeepers and veterinarians encourage behavior that can help them take good care of the animals. It's currently the "off" season, so admission is a little cheaper. (and Wednesdays in November and December are free for 2019!)
