Because if you have an apple and a snake, the photo op combination is almost irresistible! Turned wooden apple by Glenn. Adorableness courtesy of Apophis the ball python.
Stopped to take a picture of this honeybee buzzing around the flowers as I was leaving the performing arts center. Got a lucky shot of this one just as it was taking off.
The elder child has a much greener thumb than I, even though they don't like tomatoes. We picked and ate this, and it was delicious!
Kids had a 3 on 3 hockey tournament this weekend - the fourteen year old played up with the adults, and I got some video. Somewhere between the ages of 14 and 40, I went from:
"Ah! Dad! There's a spider! Come kill it!" To: "Hey Mom! There's a bunch of pretty spiders and eggs outside, do ya wanna come look?" "Yeah, let me grab my camera!" Arachnophobes might want to look away at this point, but here are a few of the pictures I took the last time this happened. (And remember, even if you don't like spiders, most of them CAN'T hurt you, most of them don't WANT to hurt you, AND they keep the fly and mosquito populations down. Hurray spiders!) |
