Because for some kids, the best way to learn how to play the guitar is via a video game. (This is Rocksmith. Yes, it looks a little bit like Guitar Hero. But you can hook an actual guitar up for this one. :))
Youngest kiddo's been saving up for an electric guitar for a while now. Today was finally the day, and after trying out several, this is the one we brought home.
The Dubia roaches got moved to a new, clean bin today! These are what we feed the tarantulas. We look to have a pretty healthy colony going right now - it took us about two hours to get everybody moved over. (Not helped at all by the fact that they apparently like to play dead as a defense mechanism.)
We visited the Bannock County Historical Museum yesterday. The Fort Hall Replica is currently closed for the season, but we had a great time taking an hour to poke around and see artifacts of our community's history. I tended to the chore of putting together my calendar/planner for the year ahead last night, and had some fun decorating the monthly pages. January is spiders (from a stamp I designed and hand-carved) because, eh, why not? I like spiders. (and I'm really happy with how that stamp turned out and hadn't had a chance to use it yet.)
Here's to the never-ending attempt to be more organized! |
