Hooray! It's my birthday! You may be sick of hearing about this modern movement opera I am in by now, but if you want to get me a little somethin' for my birthday (I am THIRTY NINE! YAY!) You could pledge a couple of bucks to this Kickstarter:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1091819207/double-blind-sided-world-premiere-of-new-opera?ref=card Myself and my siblings, all at the same piano throughout the years. :) I can still pick out a tune on a piano, but that's about the extent of my skills.
Might have gotten a *little* bit carried away with the glitter. At least it's outside, but my sidewalk is going to be incredibly festive for quite some time.
This was from a performance installation I helped create in January- the audience was invited to come and stitch on these muslin panels. The dancers also stitched on them during the course of a piece. This was near the beginning, I need to take pictures of what they looked like at the end of the run.
It was interesting - as much resistance as I had as a kid when my mom was teaching me how to sew and embroider, it turned out to be a very rich source of inspiration for creating art in an entirely different medium. I don't actually know the person who has a little Iron Man hanging off of their bumper on campus, but it makes me smile every time I walk by.
My kiddo sent me this picture of a ball python with her tail curled up in a pretty spiral. I am a fan of spiral-y things. :)
Because why have I-movie if you're not gonna make ridiculously over dramatic videos of a game of Jenga?
Well, hello there still half full bottle of pomegranate green tea randomly in the parking lot. You sound kind of delicious, but I'm afraid you will remain abandoned.
